About Desireé

Desireé Communicates Results...

“Communicate, Motivate, Educate”

is the hallmark of who I am, as a veteran communicator with more than 20 years experience in journalism and public relations.

During my career, I have worked as an award-winning television and radio news anchor, reporter, and producer; public speaker; and strategic communications specialist. After retiring from the television industry, I opened my own public relations firm, Robinson Communications, LLC, serving international and national clientele.

After Hurricane Katrina, I returned to my beloved hometown, Atlanta, Georgia, and continue to work in public relations in the healthcare arena.

“Communicate, Motivate, Educate” is an integral part of my everyday life. From my parents, a minister and a teacher, I inherited the art of leadership, public speaking, and connecting with people. However, their greatest gift to me is my dedication to serving humankind.

My commitment to serving others is demonstrated in my work as a lifetime member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and other philanthropic pursuits. Outside of my professional awards and honors, my greatest achievement to date is being the mother of three brilliant, loving, and fascinating children, Skye, Malcolm, and Baron.

In my downtime, music and food are my two passions, but not necessarily in that order! As an avid lover of jazz, you can usually find me at an outdoor concert, especially during the summer. At home, my kitchen is my therapy as well as supporting the culinary arts through my organization, SistaCooks, Incorporated.

At this juncture, my personal life motto is quite simple, “Eat, Pray, Love!” but also not necessarily in that order!
